Building upon her legacy of crafting moments of joy, Kara Haspel Lind, the visionary behind the infamous Kara’s Cupcakes, extends her passion into a new venture – Bar Lucia. Nestled adjacent to Kara’s Cupcakes, Bar Lucia introduces a curated selection of rosé, sparkling wines, and cocktails, thoughtfully paired with an exquisite menu of seasonal salads, sandwiches, and delectable small bites. Inspired by the desire to foster connections through the art of food, wine, and beloved confections, this unique culinary haven finds its home within Napa’s bustling Oxbow Public Market.
The name “Bar Lucia” pays homage to the remarkable lineage of women who have shaped Kara’s journey. Named after her great-grandmother, Angela Luci, and her daughter, Lucia, the establishment is a tribute to the enduring traditions cherished across five generations. Angela Luci’s courage to embark on a new chapter, leaving her Calabrian Italian family behind to arrive at Ellis Island amid the 1920s’ challenges, serves as a poignant testament to the indomitable spirit that runs through Kara’s heritage. Just as these incredible women paved the way, Bar Lucia continues the legacy, inviting patrons to savor life’s moments in the heart of Napa Valley.
